History

Blue Mobile Systems was founded in late 2004 by Peter Andreasson and Rickard Farby, as a spin-off company from the IT research institute Viktoria.

During the period of 2001 to 2004, Peter Andreasson performed extensive studies of both guards and end customers in cooperation with the Gothenburg municipal insurance company – “Göta Lejon”, and security guard companies Falck (now G4S) and Securitas. Read more about the research here. Mr Andreasson has also worked as a security guard for 15 years.

The need for, among other things, improvements in the flow of information and communication between colleagues as well as between security companies and their customers quickly became evident. This highlighted the lack of suitable IT-tools to support these activities. The concept of GuardTools® evolved into a custom made IT-based operational support system, tailored for security guard companies.

In late 2004, Blue Mobile Systems was granted a development contract with Svensk BevakningsTjänst in Gothenburg, covering the entire following year.

The first version of our product GuardTools® was released in early 2006, and received its first customers shortly thereafter, among others, Svensk BevakningsTjänst in Gothenburg and Cubsec Bevakning.
