How does it work? -

How Is the Product Delivered?

GuardTools® is sold and delivered as a service, aka SaaS - Software as a Service. This means that we run the complete server-related part of the system for our clients in a central data centre. Read more about the benefits of SaaS here. We call this delivery form GuardTools® Hosted. It is well suited for security companies of all sizes, aiming to avoid investments in the IT infrastructure required for running the system themselves. Read more about GuardTools® Hosted here. It is also possible to have GuardTools® delivered and installed into the customers´ own IT infrastructure. In that case, the security company is responsible for all management of its internal IT environment. We call this offer GuardTools® On-Site, but it is NOT recommended for small and medium-size security companies.


What Equipment is Required?

All that´s needed to use GuardTools® is:


  • One or more PC workstations or Laptops
  • One or more rugged Mobile Computers
  • Internet connection both on PC and Mobile Computer

How Is the Installation Done?

As soon as you have been registered as a customer, we create an isolated GuardTools® account with your unique profile in our data centre. Shortly thereafter, you will receive an email containing a link to your personal webpages for downloads and installation of GuardTools® Office and GuardTools® Mobile. On the installation page you will find a download button for downloading and installing the application on your PC-s and Mobile computers.


How Does Upgrading Work?

We provide upgrades for GuardTools® about every two months. Upgrades can consist of:


  • New features
  • Improvements of existing features
  • Removal of any application errors (debugging)

The new upgrades are automatically installed in GuardTools® Office at the next start-up. In GuardTools® Mobile, reinstallation is done through the downloading page.


How Can My Business Grow With This Application?

GuardTools® is excellent for upscaling as your business grows. Our customers range from small security guard companies to the largest in Sweden. GuardTools® supports an infinite number of users.


If I need help?

Support is included free of charge during the contract period. This does not include training or supervising services. For such matters, we provide extensive GuardTools® manuals and training material. We also provide additional training-services at an additional cost to accelerate the start-up within your company.
